Compare Daycare Age Boundaries, Hours and Enrollment Claims

· How-To Guides · 3 min read

For childcare, an exact age boundary and a center’s opening hours can determine whether an option fits before broader program comparisons begin. A center advertising an infant program does not establish that it can enroll a particular child on a particular date.

Source snapshot: September 29, 2026. These deliberately selected examples explain how to compare published scope. They are not an exhaustive survey, a ranking, or a local price benchmark. Statements below are business-published; linked evidence records show their scope and review deadlines. Check the original source and current evidence before acting on a dated statement.

Preserve the unit in the age boundary

Both sampled center pages state a six-week starting age. Six weeks should remain six weeks: rounding it to an integer month can change the meaning. The upper boundaries differ, with Interbay’s reviewed range ending at five years and Northgate’s at six. The shared brand does not make these fields interchangeable.

Separate open hours from a contracted schedule

Both pages publish weekday opening hours. That establishes what the center advertises, not the schedule available in a particular enrollment agreement. Ask about the days required, arrival and pickup rules, closures and the child’s transition between age groups. Keep the response tied to the exact center.

Treat a program list as an inquiry starting point

The presence of infant, preschool or other program names does not establish a seat. Ask the center about the requested start date and age group. Licensing, registered capacity, vacancies and business-published hours are different facts with different sources; none should silently stand in for another.

How these examples were selected

Editors selected identifiable directory records with readable first-party pages that addressed the comparison questions. The selection favors clear scope, not company performance. Corporate, branch and individual statements remain distinct. Missing fields are unresolved; they are not a negative assessment of the business.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a center’s advertised age range mean a place is available?
No. It describes the ages the center advertises serving. The exact age group, schedule and start date still require center confirmation.
